My daughter Giselle is prone to Tonsillitis, and it's so hard to watch my baby in pain. Recently we made a trip down to Gold Coast, to see my parents. The second day Giselle started showing signs of a cold , runny nose, sneezing & moodiness. Within a few hours it turned into a high temperature of 40 degrees , throwing up , choking on mucus & had a hard time swallowing. We rushed her to the doctors, and it turned out to be my nightmare (tonsillitis).
Because of all the congestion from her cold, Giselle found it so hard at nights not being able to breath through her nose, 'Fess Little Noses' was a LIFESAVER! it was the only thing that managed to unclog her blocked nose giving her some relief. The only long lasting problem we encountered was all the mucus stuck in her throat, my poor baby was coughing it out and swallowing it again it was a NIGHTMARE to watch. I decided I had enough watching her struggle, I decided to go to the Chemist to find out if there is anything for trapped Mucus. I was soon disappointed after leaving the Chemist, I was advised there is nothing for her age (18 Months) to just continue doing what I was doing. I WISH I knew about the 'Little Coughs' at the time, the last thing your baby needs going through tonsillitis and a cold is choking on mucus!. I am so happy I now have 'Little Coughs' in my cupboard, it makes me feel at ease knowing I can help relieve my daughter in the future. Some other tips I would like to share that helped Giselle to a a speedy recovery: - Raise the mattress in your baby's cot with some folded towels, it helps them sleep so much better during a cold. - Vix Vaporiser & Vix rub (Rubbing on feet if there is a cough) - Natural Yoghurt with a few drops of fresh Orange (So good for painful little throats) - Chicken Soup makes anyone feels better -Keep up the 'Fess Little Noses' Spray 1-3 times a day -Keeping up all the good fruits & Vegietables -Look into buying a probiotic, Giselle was on antibiotics for 2 weeks to fight her tonsillitis which can kill all the good bacteria in her little body. I recommend asking your doctor about Probiotics after your child has had a round of antibiotics to get all that good bacteria back. The Mummy Blogger XoXo

Giselle has been quiet good with teething she tolerates pain really well. She came to a point where she had 6 swollen gums and I felt so bad for her I could see she was really irritated and didn't want to say anything she just turned into a biting machine to try and sooth her gums on her own.
Originally I was using a natural teething powder that you can rub straight onto the gums as well as add to meals and drinks but it is only for mild pain. I went to the chemist the same day and the pharmacist recommended this gel to me over other big name teething gels. It has been a lifesaver I only put it once for her before she sleeps and it lasts her all night! It numbs gums for up to 3 hours but I feel it relieves her for a lot longer. This gel is for babies 6 months and over. Every baby is different but this worked great for mine. The Mummy Blogger xoxo I would like to start off by mentioning that I was not paid to promote this product I stumbled upon it on my own.
It all started at my weekly Woolworths shop, I was on the hunt for an oven cleaner (My oven was beyond out of control) I couldn't bare looking at it anymore. I saw the Oz Kleen package from the corner of my eye & it looked intreging but to be honest I was very sceptical as I have been drawn in by good packaging before only to be let down. After going back and forth in my head I came to the conclusion to just buy the friken thing!. It comes with a set of gloves, a 500ml bottle of the solution & this huge zip lock bag. I followed the instructions placing my 2 oven trays into the bag and to pour this fluro pink solution in there. I zipped the bag up and swished the solution around making sure my trays were evenly covered and left it to sit overnight (doesn't take that long but I read that you can leave it for longer and I was too lazy to wash them at that point so I waited till the next morning). I wish I had taken a before photo but I was TOO EMBARRASSED!! I couldn't believe what I saw the next day all the dirt was GONE!! NO SCRUBBING...it just dripped off my trays. Just remember when you look at the pictures that solution was flour Pink and all that brown liquid you see is all the dirt and grease removed from my trays. EVERY ONE WHO OWNS AN OVEN NEEDS THIS PRODUCT!!! IT IS A MUST!! Don't even think twice about it. It was $8.69 and worth every cent. By the way you use the left over liquid from your 500ml bottle for your oven! GO BUY IT PLEASE!! The Mummy Blogger xoxo |
